The bishop, clergy and faithful of the Diocese of Peoria returned home from St. Louis to celebrate a series of thanksgiving Masses for the Sheen beatification.
“I received messages during the beatification ceremony yesterday writing and saying, ‘Why weren’t you here?’ That would’ve been so great,” the pope said.
