More than 1 in 6 Catholics are either vulnerable to deportation themselves or could see a family member deported, barring law or policy changes.

Pope Leo XIV sent a special message of support to a virtual summit hosted by the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, also known as CLINIC, Oct. 29.

The report filtered focus-group participants for those who identified as Catholics and said they were undecided in the upcoming elections.

“Please know that my intention was never to cause confusion, anger, or disappointment among the people entrusted to my care,” Archbishop Grob said.

“The bishops of the United States teach that the Church cannot champion any candidate or party. I hold to that,” said Denver’s Archbishop Golka.

“It is an important victory for the millions of people of faith represented by the 27 Jewish and Christian denominations and organizations.”

“This is not easy work, in part because so many people feel that prisoners facing death have entirely forfeited their human dignity and right to life.”

“We urge Congress to do everything in its power to affirm the rights of persons living with disabilities to flourish in their families and communities.”
