Violence against Christians has escalated in recent years from Islamic extremist groups but Muslim communities have also been hit hard by the violence.

The Trump administration indicated it would limit the number of refugees annually admitted to the U.S. to 7,500, with a preference for white South Africans.

The Trump administration had previously argued that it could not use the contingency funds for the program, despite previous precedent.

The president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America argued any action that further expands the use of the drugs commonly used for abortion is “irresponsible.”

“Israel’s decision to bomb is an unjustified breach of its commitment to the ceasefire,” said Mary Ellen O’Connell, a professor at Notre Dame Law School.

The U.S. government statistics that from 2005 to 2023, 146 rural hospitals closed or stopped providing inpatient services. Of that 146, 81 shut down completely.

“(At) this conference, we must move our hope forward through prayer, collaboration, and all initiatives. Let us walk together joyfully proclaiming the Gospel.”

The “One Church, One Family” project’s two days of prayer and witness will include vigils outside of immigration offices and detention centers.

As the U.S. military carried out a strike on what it said was a suspected drug vessel in the Caribbean, a Notre Dame Law expert warned against such action.

“It is time to move beyond temporary fixes to a solution that honors the dignity of all and provides security and protects the sovereignty of our nation.”
