ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (OSV News) — OSV News swept the category for one-shot national news writing at the 2026 Catholic Media Awards ceremony, taking home 13 awards overall. The wire service won honorable mention in the category of Best Newspaper, National/Wire Service.

OSV News Photo Editor Bob Roller also received an honorable mention in the Photographer of the Year category.

The awards were presented by the Catholic Media Association on the final night of the 2026 Catholic Media Conference, held June 16-19 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The awards recognized excellence in journalism, photography and other media created in 2025.

OSV News launched Dec. 31, 2022, as a Catholic news and information service from OSV, a Catholic publishing company headquartered in Huntington, Indiana, and founded in 1912 by Archbishop John Francis Noll to serve the Church’s mission by providing professional Catholic news and evangelizing content amid a hostile political and social environment.

As a partner in evangelization, OSV News allows dioceses and other organizations to connect and boost engagement with the faithful through the sharing of timely, trustworthy and accurate news and features stories and commentary that communicate the truth of what is happening in the Catholic Church and around the world.

OSV Books, the publishing division of OSV News’ parent company Our Sunday Visitor Inc., also won awards for 18 books published in 2025.
