Pope Leo XIV urged the wealthy citizens of Monaco to remember the poor and protect every human life, saying the Last Judgment “places the poor at its center.”

This is the prepared text of Pope Leo XIV’s homily given March 28, 2026, at the afternoon Mass in Louis II Stadium during his papal visit to Monaco.

The tiny principality of Monaco has survived invasions, revolutions and world wars, but now must reach out and share its faith and riches, Pope Leo XIV said.
