The Collection for the Catholic Church in Central and Eastern Europe supports the Church in Ukraine and other countries that emerged from Soviet repression.

During his most recent papal meeting, Major Archbishop Shevchuk thanked Pope Leo for the “solidarity and support” he has shown to Ukraine.

“This is not only a military war. It is also an informational and diplomatic war. Sometimes the world becomes a victim of Russian propaganda.”

“Russia is launching increasingly active strikes on peaceful cities and villages,” Major Archbishop Shevchuk said, and Kyiv is an “epicenter” of the strikes.
