“Today, Africa is called to contribute significantly to the holiness and missionary character of the Christian people,” the pope said.

“Today your feet are standing on the soil of Bamenda that has drunk the blood of many of our children,” Archbishop Andrew Nkea of Bamenda told the pope. 

While the pope is a pastor, he can offer “humble suggestions” on how Cameroon could resolve the crisis, Bamenda’s Archbishop Andrew Nkea said.
