After 13 years of daring acts of charity, the pope’s “Robin Hood” leaves Rome to become archbishop of Lódz, Poland.

Bishop Varden of Trondheim, a Trappist monk, shared wisdom from contemplative life during the retreat, drawing from the writings of St. Bernard of Clairvaux.
