Acknowledging what he described as “a heaviness in our community these days,” Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda assured Catholics and the Twin Cities community of his continued prayers.

The archbishop spoke in the hours after a special Mass and rite of reparation that restored the church for worship.

“It’s still very, very, very fresh and (we’ll) probably live (with it) for a long time,” Matthew Tews said about the mass shooting at a Minneapolis church.

“The Holy Spirit said to take the picture off my wall at home and show his children his face. So, I did what he asked,” Will Threlkeld said.

The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis is hosting an exhibit of the largest collection of papal artifacts outside of Rome in early 2026.
