Pope Leo will send a message to participants emphasizing his conviction the “Spirit of Assisi” and dialogue are urgently in “an age of conflict.”

Since the 1986 meeting, the Community of Sant’Egidio, a Catholic lay organization, has continued to promote what is known as the “Spirit of Assisi.”
