Shelter-in-place order lifted at Catholic University following phone-in active shooter threat

WASHINGTON (OSV News) — A shelter-in-place alert at The Catholic University of America in Washington was lifted after an hour April 13, following threats of an active shooter phoned to the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

MPD and CUA public safety officers conducted a sweep of campus but did not identify an active shooter.

Catholic University president Peter K. Kilpatrick is expected to issue a statement later on April 13.
